Tours

Enhance your experience of public art on campus by taking a Landmarks tour. Tours are a fun and informative way to learn about works of art in the Landmarks collection, the artists who created them, and the important artistic trends they represent.
Self-guided Tours
Get started by visiting the Interactive Map provided on this website. Visitors may also stream or download the Audio Tour and visit the artist pages for additional information.
To prepare for on-site visits, download a Campus Map (pdf) or pick up a printed map available at the locations listed on the Visit page. Given the scale of the main campus, visiting the entire collection could take several hours: the Director’s Choice Tour offers a condensed version that requires about forty-five minutes.
Whichever self-guided tour appeals, all visitors with Internet capable mobile devices can simply visit the Landmarks website to read artist entries and listen to audio tours while viewing the works of art on display.
Guided Tours
Campus visitors, students, faculty and staff are encouraged to participate in regularly scheduled public tours or to schedule a private docent-led tour. These tours aid in understanding and appreciating works of art presented by Landmarks. Visit the Docent Tours page to learn more.
An additional fun and energizing way to experience Landmarks projects is by taking a docent-led bike tour. Learn more by visiting the Bike Tours page.
Please contact Landmarks education coordinator Taylor Browning taylor.browning@austin.utexas.edu to schedule a docent-led tour. At least two weeks advance notice is required.
